    The aptly named ‘Top End’ of Australia is home to some incredible natural beauty and this 3 day tour with Wayoutback takes in some of the top highlights of both Kakadu and Litchfield National Parks.

    Perfect for those who want to experience the Top End from Darwin without breaking their budget this tour sees you getting at one with nature – sleeping in traditional ‘swags’ under the stars amongst the national parks and cruising around in 4WDs!

    Throughout the trip you’ll be keeping an eye out for some of the areas local residents – including crocodiles, buffalo and some of the 250 species of bird that call this place home. The private billabong cruise across Mary River Wetlands provides some of the best opportunities to photograph these impressive creatures.

    Your knowledgable guides will show you a variety of Aboriginal Art and you’ll learn all about the history of the area, including the story of the Rainbow Serpent before soaking up the epic views across the horizon all the way to Arhem land.

    The highlights though have to be the huge waterfalls you’ll visit throughout your time in Kakadu and Litchfield – including Gunlom Falls, Wangi Falls, Twin Falls and the famous Jim Jim falls – so make sure you camera is charged!

    Tour Price Includes:

    Professional guide, travel in an air-conditioned 4WD vehicle (17 pax maximum), all meals (as listed on itineraries), camping equipment, drinking water (please provide your own bottle).

    What you need to bring:

    Torch, wide brimmed hat, sunscreen, insect repellent and fly net (if insects bother you), water bottle (1.5 litres), walking shoes/boots, sleeping bag (if you prefer to use your own and not hire one*), toiletries, towel, swimwear, camera, comfortable and casual clothing for three days.

    Note:

    Itinerary may change due to cultural reasons, seasonal changes, operational logistics and accessibility.
    This trip is not suitable for pax under the age of 18. The general demographic of this tour is 18 to 35. Pax outside of this age bracket should book the 3 Day 4WD Dragonfly Dreaming Safari
    Please be dressed in comfortable walking clothing and footwear, have a water bottle, hat and sunscreen in easy reach.
    Luggage limit is 10kg per person in a soft bag. Remaining luggage can be stored at your Darwin accommodation
    Participants should have a good to moderate fitness level for this tour and be aware that walks often take place over uneven ground. Customers need to prepare for hot temperatures during the day
    Tents are on a twin-share basis with single customers sharing with another person of the same gender

    Darwin 5.30 pm approximately. It is recommended that onward travel be arranged for the following day. Darwin Airport drop offs can be arranged for flights 20.00 or later however this must be stated at time of booking.

    While we will do our absolute best to have you at the airport on time we will not be held liable for any flights missed due to delays. These may include, but not limited to; Traffic delays, road closures, vehicle breakdowns and accidents. Travel insurance is highly recommended.

    Luggage: 10kg in a soft bag per person Dietary: Please advise any dietary requirements or medical conditions when reconfirming reservation. Most common dietary needs are catered for if advised no later than 48 hours prior to departure but due to the remote nature of the tour, dietary needs and allergies must be discussed directly with Wayoutback ahead of departure in case you need to provide your own supplementary food. Fitness: Participants should have a good to moderate fitness level for this tour and be aware that walks often take place over uneven ground.
