Full of natural beauty, including plenty of idyllic white beaches, crystal clear waters and tropical rainforest.
Kayak with the dolphins that are regularly spotted playing in the waves along with the surfers, and throughout May to October you can take a boat trip to observe the magnificent humpback whales as they migrate from Antarctica to the warmer waters for their mating season.
Julians Rock is a must for snorkelling and diving; located just a few minutes boat ride from the shore this spot attracts a diverse range of marine life due to the merging of temperate and tropical waters. Swim amongst more than 500 species of fish, leopard sharks, grey nurse sharks, manta rays and turtles.
Byron is also a great location for skydiving, with incredible views of the spectacular beaches and hinterland all the way to Brisbane. Another place to appreciate the stunning views is from the Cape Byron Lighthouse. Take the lighthouse walk along the coast and through patches of rainforest to reach Australia’s most easterly point, where looking out to the vast sea you’ll often spot dolphins, whales and turtles.
