Fraser Island Tour Itinerary:
Begin with a pick up from your Hervey Bay accommodationÂ
Travel to Central Station once a busy logging station that was the heartbeat of the Island
Continue on to Wanggoolba Creek and explore the King ferns and lush subtropical rainforest canopyÂ
Hike through Pile Valley’s subtropical rainforest and its huge Satinay trees once used in the construction of the suez canal.Â
Next up is Lake McKenzie, Fraser Island’s famous freshwater lake
Travel down 75 Mile Beach Fraser Island’s iconic beach highway. Keep a lookout out for wildlife as well as light aircraft, taking off and landing right on the beach.Â
Relax at Eli Creek and float down this idyllic lazy river
Check out the Maheno Shipwreck. Washed ashore in 1935, take a look around this incredible wreckÂ
Marvel at the Pinnacles and learn the Dreamtime stories of how these beautiful cliffs were formed
Arrive at Indian Head to take in the stunning 360-degree views of the Island whilst trying to spot the local marine life. Sharks, turtles and rays are often seen here.Â
Bathe at Champagne Pools and feel the full force of mother nature as she sends crashing waves over the top of this natural rock pool
Get a taste of the Sahara and Trek across the Hammerstone Sandblow on your way to Lake Wabby, a stunning emerald green lake like no other.Â

- Tour itinerary may change due to tides and weather conditions.
- All travellers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a paying adult.
- As this tour is off-road, we recommend that pregnant travellers or people with existing medical conditions seek medical advice before booking this tour.
- Travellers need to be independently mobile to access and disembark the 4WD buses and all tour sites visited.
CANCELLATION POLICY
- Bookings cancelled more than 48 hrs prior to departure will incur no cancellation fee.
- Bookings cancelled between 24 – 48 hrs prior to departure will incur a 50% cancellation fee.
- Bookings cancelled less than 24 hrs prior to departure or failure to board the tour will incur a 100% cancellation fee.
- Non utilised tour components will not be refunded.

Getting around the island is sorted so don’t worry about renting a 4WD or ruining your own daily driver. The crew at Fraser Explorer have a purpose built 4WD mega-coach designed specifically for tough terrain. These vehicles will get you from A to B and some.Â
Accommodation is included at the Eurong Beach resort, a stones throw from the Pacific perfect to pair with an ice cold beer at sunset. Entry-level pricing includes 4-share dorm-style accommodation, you can upgrade for a few extra bucks and go private. You decide.Â
What about food? Should we bring a rucksack full of sarnies? Na, forget it. All the food is included and provided. If you have dietary requirements or just a full blown fuss-pot then don’t worry, they cater for everybody.
Getting to the island is easy, with daily departures from Hervey Bay and ferry crossing included in the price, we can make any date work for you.Â
Whether you are heading north or south, we need you to make your way to one of these locations to start your trip. If you don’t have transportation lined up already, no dramas. We can sort that out for you too.
