Overnight bus from Sydney to Byron Bay
Your adventure kicks off in stunning Sydney city where tonight, you'll hop on board the overnight bus that will take you to the iconic coastal town of Byron Bay.
Day 1: Byron Bay
This morning you'll arrive bright and early and check into your central Byron Bay accommodation for the next 2 nights. Then test yourself at the great Australian sport of surfing, 1/2 Day surf lesson to welcome you to the bay.

Day 3: Nimbin / Byron Bay
Today you’ll be waking up and joining your fellow backpackers on a day trip out to one of Byron Bay’s most famous destinations, Nimbin, Spend the day driving through the hinterlands, Visitnig waterfalls, Exploring the small town of Nimbin and enjoying a traditional pub lunch, With time for some shopping before a relaxing drive back to Byron.

Day 4: Surfers Paradise
After a short bus ride up to the famous city of Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast, You will check into your social accommodation, Ready to make new friends and explore the Australian Miami. Walk down Miami Beach and take a picture under the Surfers Paradise sign, Before heading out to party with your new mates.
Day 5: Noosa
Start the day by waking up and checking out of your Surfers Paradise accommodation, ready to say hello to Noosa as you make your way to the Sunshine Coast. Check in to your hostel, Drop down your bags and explore the beautiful beach side town, Home of surfing and amazing national parks.
Day 6: Noosa Everglades / Noosa
To start the day you will be picked up for your Everglades trip, The Noosa Everglades are one of 2 in the world!! Making this day a very special one, You will be kayaking through a stunning place of serene natural beauty, bursting with rare animal and plant species. Morning tea and picnic lunch provided

Day 7: Rainbow Beach
Today you'll make your way up to Rainbow Beach. Check into your FREE beachfront accommodation! You'll be staying at this hostel for a total of 2 nights, one before and one after your Fraser Island tour - with daily free guided walks to the Carlo Sandblow and free breakfasts, In the evening you'll attend a compulsory 6pm safety briefing at your hostel for your upcoming Fraser Island tour.
Day 8: Fraser Island
Leave your hostel at 7am sharp, Drive in awe up the first portion of 75 mile beach to Eurong where we head inland towards Lake McKenzie Arrive at Lake McKenzie and take a dip in these incredibly pure, clear waters. Words do not do this amazing lake any justice. Drive to Central Station where we eat lunch, walk along the waters of the very special Wanggoolba Creek and learn Fraser Island’s history in a time before this beautiful island was protected. We then leave for a drive back to 75-mile beach and onto your camp. Arrive at our incredible campsite and chill after a long day or head up to Corrigin Sandblow for an amazing sunset where you are the only tour group to have access. Dinner time! Cook a BBQ together with your new Fraser Family and spend the night socialising together next to a campfire or under the covered seating area.

Day 9: Fraser Island
Wake up early (hangovers are no excuse!) to a simple, easy breakfast of toast and cereal before getting back in the cars to head further north. Arrive at the Champagne Pools to cleanse under awesome waves crashing over into the natural rock pools, creating the bubbly “champagne.” Then back to the cars again for a short drive to our next destination Climb the stunning Indian Head (one of the few rocks formations on the island) to spot the amazing marine wildlife that can be seen off of Fraser Island, if luck is on our side, we can normally spot: Humpback Whales (August – October), Sharks, Sea Turtles, Dolphins, huge Rays and many schools of tropical fish. Next a drive back to your camp for lunch and then onto our next location. A short drive down the beach is the largest creek on the Eastern Beach; Eli Creek. Take a walk up the boardwalk with a rubber ring and float down these serene waters which pumps up to 4 million litres of fresh water into the sea every hour. The second to last location of the day is a short drive from Eli Creek and your camp; the Maheno shipwreck. As the sun lowers in the sky watch the rusty wreck against the sea sky and incredible coloured sands seen up the coast. Finally, a short stop at The Pinnacles on the way back to your camp. Seen from the beach this sand formation is a prime example of the coloured sands seen all up the Fraser Coast. Arriving back at your camp to take a breather after an amazing day, wash away the sand in the amazing amenities block just a short walk from our campsite…… then more food! As part of our Fraser Family we cook spaghetti bolognaise together with garlic bread followed by another night of socialising under some of the Southern Hemisphere’s most spectacular stars.

Day 10: Fraser Island / Rainbow Beach
Wake up for your last day in paradise to another quick and simple breakfast before setting off to our final location on Fraser Island. Drive a moderate distance down the Eastern Beach to the entrance of Lake Wabby. Here we will walk for around 40-45 mins down a beautiful sand track through the bush and out onto the Hammerstone Sandblow. Located a short walk along the sand blow Lake Wabby is the deepest lake on Fraser Island so be sure to take a dip and chill next on its shores. After our lunch on the beach, it is time to make our way back to the barge and Rainbow Beach but not before hunting for the mysterious Eugarie, Arrive back at your hostel in Rainbow Beach between 1pm and 4:30pm, (dependant on the tides), and chill for one last night with your new Fraser Family!

Day 11: Overnight bus to Airlie BeachThe day is yours free, Explore and check out of your hostel before jumping on board your overnight bus to Airlie Beach.
Day 12: Airlie Beach
This morning you'll check into your amazing Airlie Beach accommodation. Check out the fantastic Airlie Beach lagoon then start preparing for your Whitsunday’s trip.
Day 13: Whitsundays Sail out to one of the Whitsundays most picturesque islands and jump in the water to experience what all this fuss about Whitsundays Snorkelling is about. While we sail around to our first sleeping location in the protected waters of Whitsunday Island. Settle into the evening on the deck with one of your beer/wine's and tuck into some freshly cooked dinner, sourced locally of course. Weather and Tide Dependent.

Day 14: Whitsundays
Wake up bright and early to a freshly cooked breakfast. Today, depending entirely on weather/tides you can look forward to two other snorkels at two different beautiful locations around the islands OR a quick 10 minute bushwalk up to Hill Inlet Lookout, take a quick pic of Whitehaven Beach, then a short stroll on to the world famous Whitehaven Beach. Also expect a fully catered Lunch and Dinner 99% of the time we can expect to get to Whitehaven Beach. Weather/Tide Dependent

Day 15: Whitsundays / Airlie Beach
Wake up early again this morning to breakfast and the potential for another snorkel. With the hope to get one more snorkel before heading back to Airlie Beach. Weather/Tide Dependent Meal(s) included : Breakfast
Day 16: Magnetic Island
Today you'll make your way to Townsville where a ferry will take you to Magnetic Island. Check in for 2 amazing nights at one of the beach side resorts, Then kick back and relax on one of the island's many iconic beaches, Enjoy a complementary glass of Champagne.

Day 17: Magnetic IslandToday is yours free to explore, Relax, Or hire the well known barbie cars. Meal(s) included : Breakfast
Day 18: Cairns
Your final journey will be from Townsville to Cairns, Arrive in the tropical north queen land town, And check into your central accommodation, Spend the rest of your day and evening enjoying the culture and nightlife. Make sure you get a good nights sleep for your Great Barrier Reef trip the following day.
Day 19: Great Barrier Reef / Cairns
Today you will be part of a unique reef experience, catering for small groups only, and for both experienced and first time snorkellers and divers. The tour will have a very relaxed, chilled, tropical vibe, allowing passengers to experience both the reef and a sand cay. We will have a later departure time and return to Cairns at sunset. Island Diver will focus on a fun and chilled day with mind-blowing reef to explore.

Day 20: Atherton Tablelands / Cairns
Your Atherton Tablelands tour kicks off around 7am from any Cairns city hotel and returns 6:45pm, in their fun bright orange bus! Your Atherton Tablelands day tour includes morning, afternoon tea and a picnic lunch which is home-style sandwiches and fresh fruit. Barefoot Tours customises the route and the timings of their day based on the customers and the weather that nature delivers that day, this enables the guides to tailor the tour to best suit the group. Our regular itinerary (and sometimes done backwards or just differently) is as follows: * Lookout up the Gillies * Lake Eacham * Fig Tree * Malanda town (quick stop for fresh food) * The Crater * Dinner Falls (then lunch) * Millaa Millaa falls (occasionally Elinjaa falls and/or Zillie falls) * Lookout * Banana stop * Josephine Falls (occasionally Babinda Boulders - if we are quick on time) ----- Some of the occasional stops they add in include: Malanda falls, Zillie falls, Babinda boulders, Ellinjaa falls, Henrietta creek, Tchupala falls, Wallicher falls, and a few lookouts on the way up/down.
