Tour Description

Want all the fun and excitement of  a 3-day tag along safari but don’t want to camp? Then this tour is for you!

Day 1
Meet at Nomads, Noosa at 7.30am for your departure to Rainbow Beach (approximately 2 hours drive). Once you reach Rainbow Beach you’ll pick up your 4WD’s then head to River Heads to catch the barge over to Hook Point on the Southern tip of Fraser Island (approximately 10 minutes).
Depending on the weather and the tide your guide will assess whether it’s safe to drive on the beach or if you’ll need to take an alternative route to the Southern Lakes. Your first stop will be at Lake Boomanjin for a swim and a walk, then you’ll continue on to Lake Birrabeen for lunch (wraps and salad). After a relaxing break, your guide will take you on a walk through the rainforest to explore the island’s unique flora and hopefully spot some wildlife. You’ll then drive to Central Station before arriving at Eurong Resort around 5.30pm. There’s time for a quick shower before dinner and the evening free at your leisure.
Overnight – Eurong Resort (4 share en-suite dorm)
Day 2
After breakfast (cereal, toasts, spread, tea & coffee) you’ll drive to Eli Creek, where you can relax and float around the pure flowing waters of this beautiful freshwater creek or soak up the sun on the sandbanks.
From here you’ll head to the famous Maheno Shipwreck, a wreckage that was washed ashore during a cyclone in 1935.
Continuing North you’ll head to Coloured Sands and the Pinnacles, impressive cliffs made up of 72 different colours of sand. Here is where you’ll stop for lunch (sandwiches and salads) before driving up to Indian Heads, a large rocky headland that offers 360° degrees views of the beach and vast ocean.
Last stop of the day is Champagne Pools, a natural jacuzzi formed by the ocean’s waves crashing over rocks into shallow sandy pools
It’s then back to Eurong Resort for dinner and the evening free at your leisure.

Overnight – Eurong Resort (4 share en-suite dorm)
Day 3
After breakfast (cereal, toasts, spread, tea & coffee) you’ll head to Lake Wobby, the deepest freshwater lake on the island and then onto Lake McKenzie, popular for it’s crystal clear waters and stunning white sand beach.
You’ll have lunch (wraps and salad) before departing the island by barge at around 2.30pm. Arriving back in Rainbow Beach you’ll drop off your vehicles and be transferred back to Noosa arriving at about 5pm.
That evening you can continue the fun with your new friends at the exclusive post-tour party at KB’s bar, Nomads.
