Snorkel in the unique waters of Julian Rocks Marine Reserve, one of the rare snorkel sites where you can swim with tropical species found in the Great Barrier Reef aswell as marine life from the deep Southern Ocean.
Meet at Byron Bay Dive Centre for a quick briefing before heading out to the rock. The boat ride takes approximately 5 minutes and you’ll be treated to spectacular views of Byron Bay’s coastline and potentially a pod of dolphins who frequently play in the waves.
You’ll have up to 50 minutes to explore these diverse waters supervised by qualified staff who are there to ensure you get the most from your trip. This unique underwater world is a rare mix of tropical and temperate marine life and home to over 500 species, including turtles, manta rays and friendly sharks.
On your return to the dive shop you can have a hot shower before the dive crew help you identify some of the creatures you saw.
