Snorkel in the unique waters of Julian Rocks Marine Reserve, one of the rare snorkel sites where you can swim with tropical species found in the Great Barrier Reef aswell as marine life from the deep Southern Ocean.

Tour Description

Meet at Byron Bay Dive Centre for a quick briefing before heading out to the rock. The boat ride takes approximately 5 minutes and you’ll be treated to spectacular views of Byron Bay’s coastline and potentially a pod of dolphins who frequently play in the waves.
You’ll have up to 50 minutes to explore these diverse waters supervised by qualified staff who are there to ensure you get the most from your trip. This unique underwater world is a rare mix of tropical and temperate marine life and home to over 500 species, including turtles, manta rays and friendly sharks.
On your return to the dive shop you can have a hot shower before the dive crew help you identify some of the creatures you saw.

Stunning corals of varying colours, shapes and sizes

Departure Times

8.00am, 9.30am, 11.00am, 12.30pm and 2.00pm. Meet at Byron Bay Dive Centre.
If you’re completing the free snorkel lesson (mandatory for those who have not snorkelled before and optional for those who have) you must be at the Dive Centre at least 30 minutes before tour departure time.

Underwater Digital Camera Hire - $45.00. All photos and videos will be burnt to a CD after the tour.

Please note all customers with no prior snorkeling experience will be required to complete a snorkel lesson prior to the tour commencing. This is a free snorkel lesson at the Dive Centre’s on-site heated pool that will start 30 minutes prior to your meeting time. Failure to arrive 30 minutes before the tour for this lesson will result in you not being able to participate and no refund will be given.
Those without alot of experience or who are wanting to get acquainted with the equipment are also welcome to participate at no charge.
