On this trip, you will be joined by an awesome group of travelers and an epic group leader. The list of fantastic experiences is seemingly endless, everything from beach parties and snorkeling on tropical islands to biking between rice paddies.
You will start your adventure by exploring Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, by rickshaw and foot. Before you know it, you will find yourself on an overnight boat trip to the breathtaking Ha Long Bay and on a bike cruising through the countryside of Ninh Binh with views over the limestone mountains and rice paddies. Soon after, you will be learning how to crab fish and make lanterns in the intriguing city Hoi An. Your final stops in Vietnam will be Ho Chi Minh City and the Mekong Delta, where you may delve deeply into the country’s captivating culture and history. Before you know it, you’ll be boarding a bus to Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia, where you will trade up your rickshaw for a tuk tuk to explore the vibrant city. You will go to Kampot after having the chance to learn about Cambodia’s compelling past. Kampot is renowned for its superb pepper, so a visit to a pepper plantation is, of course, a must. A few days later, you will arrive in paradise; the island of Koh Rong Sanloem with its stunning beaches and prime snorkeling. Your final stop on this 21-day group trip will be Siem Reap where you will get to see the traditional floating villages. To end your trip with a bang, you will head for sunrise to the world’s largest temple, Angkor Wat.
Start your Vietnam & Cambodia tour. When you land in Hanoi after your long flight we’ll be at the airport to meet you and take you to our accommodation. You’ll have plenty of time to recover from your flight, chill out and meet everyone in your group
Day 2: RICKSHAW EXPLORING - HANOI
Discover the best of the chaotic capital of Vietnam on a walking and rickshaw tour, sample the delicious street food, fascinating culture and crazy nightlife!
Day 3: HA LONG BAY STAY - HA LONG BAY
Experience the stunning natural wonder of Ha Long Bay, cruise on beautiful emerald green waters through towering limestone mountains topped with rainforest. Go kayaking through caves and enjoy some drinks aboard our overnight boat!
Day 4: NINH BINH HOMESTAY - NINH BINH
Today we head south to the beautiful Ninh Binh, a landscape of endless rice paddies and epic limestone mountains. Check in to our unique local homestay, relaxing in our private riverside bungalows.
Day 5: EXPLORE NINH BINH - NINH BINH
Today we’ll take a bike ride through the rice paddies, then a local rowboat along a network of rivers and caves. We’ll then tackle the iconic Dragon Mountain Viewpoint before boarding the overnight train to Hoi An.
Day 6: EXPLORE HOI AN - HOI AN
In the morning we’ll arrive in Hoi An. You’ll have some time in the afternoon to chill out, go shopping or even get some clothes made!
Day 7: BASKET FISHING & COOKING CLASS - HOI AN
Be guided through coconut groves by local fishermen while you try your hand at some crab fishing! We’ll then learn the secrets of preparing delicious Vietnamese food with a traditional cooking class.
Day 8: LANTERN MAKING CLASS & BEACH DAY
This morning we’ll learn how to make lanterns. We’ll then hop on bicycles for a short ride to the beach for a chilled day at a beach club.
Day 9: HO CHI MINH CITY - HO CHI MINH CITY
Today we catch a short flight to Ho Chi Minh City and arrive early in the afternoon. We’ll have the rest of the day to relax and explore the city.
Day 10: MEKONG DELTA - MEKONG DELTA
Today we’ll explore the incredibly lush green beauty of the Mekong Delta. See how locals live and work on the river, visit local villages, and stay tonight in a local homestay.
Day 11: CU CHI TUNNELS - HO CHI MINH CITY
Discover the Cu Chi Tunnels, a fascinating network of underground tunnels used as supply routes and living quarters during the Vietnam War. We’ll then head out for dinner and drinks back in Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 12: TRAVEL TO CAMBODIA - PHNOM PENH
Today we jump on our bus to Cambodia! After our border crossing, we’ll arrive in Cambodia’s capital city, Phnom Penh in the afternoon. After a quick freshen up, we will head out for dinner and drinks together.
Day 13: TUK TUKS & HISTORY - PHNOM PENH
After a tuk tuk tour through the crazy streets of Phnom Penh, we’ll make two important stops at the S21 Prison and original Killing Fields to learn about the dark history of this fascinating country. That evening we’ll head for dinner and drinks, followed by a night out!
Day 14: KAYAKING IN KAMPOT - KAMPOT
Today we head to Kampot, a unique mix of dilapidated French colonial buildings, emerald green rice paddy fields and palm tree lined rivers. The next two nights are spent by the beautiful riverside with plenty of time for swimming and relaxing. That afternoon we’ll kayak down the river and soak up the laid back daily life of the locals.
Day 15: PEPPER PLANTATION & COOKING CLASS - KAMPOT
Kampot is known to have some of the best pepper in the world! We’ll learn first hand how to make some of Cambodia’s most authentic and delicious meals and then get to explore the pepper plantation before heading out on a stunning river cruise.
Day 16: KOH RONG - KOH RONG
We’ll take a train and a fast ferry to the stunning tropical island of Koh Rong and check into our traditional Khmer style beach bungalows. The afternoon can be spent lazing on the beach or exploring the island before we head out for dinner and drinks!
Day 17: SNORKELLING - KOH RONG
All aboard our private long tail boat to some of the best snorkel spots around the islands, including some beautiful secluded beaches. This evening’s sunset will be the perfect time to reflect on another ridiculously awesome day together.
Day 18: KHMER MASSAGE - KOH RONG
This morning we’ll enjoy our final day on the island relaxing on the beach. We’ll then catch the ferry back to the mainland for dinner before boarding a comfortable overnight bus bound for Siem Reap. With fully reclining beds and air con, this is bus travelling in style.
Day 19: FLOATING VILLAGE - SIEM REAP
Arrive in Siem Reap early in the morning. From there we’ll venture out to the rural areas and discover some traditional floating villages surrounded by lush rice fields, lotus flowers and flooded forests.
Day 20: ANGKOR WAT - SIEM REAP
We’ll wake for sunrise and travel by tuk tuk to the absolutely mind-blowing and world famous Angkor Wat; the largest temple in the world! A local guide will join us to explain the fascinating history and surrounding temples, including Ta Prohm where Tomb Raider was filmed. Tonight we’ll head out for our farewell dinner and final night out!
Day 21: CHECK OUT & ONWARD TRAVEL - SIEM REAP
Your epic 21 day adventure of Cambodia finishes in Siem Reap. We’ll help you plan and organize your onward travel.

Do I need to reconfirm my bookings?
All bookings for Vietnam & Cambodia tours must be reconfirmed 48 hours in advance by contacting your tour provider directly using the contact information listed on your tour voucher.
What should i do if my trip is cancelled due to bad weather?
You may either re-schedule directly with the supplier or you can email our support team on [email protected] and include your voucher number, name of product you booked, planned departure date and your contact details. Once you’ve emailed us, you can drop us a line at +61 2 5633 1149.
Do you book tours with flexible dates? If so, how long are they valid for?
Yes, we do have open dated/flexible tickets available. Most tour vouchers are valid for 12 months from date of purchase, however please be aware that you may be subject to supplier price fluctuations. All ticket validity is specified on the tour voucher. If you are unsure of the validity of your voucher, just ask one of our wonderful staff.
What do I do if I need help with an existing booking?
Some tours have extra costs and you should be aware that there may be added expenses. These expenses will differ for each service provider, but some of the more usual extras are: EMC tax, stinger suit hire, luggage storage, sleeping bag hire, linen hire, national park fee, food, insurance, accommodation, equipment hire, petrol levy, etc. We will alert you to extra costs to the extent reasonably practicable. However, you must also check with each individual service provider when you re-confirm your booking.
Do I need travel insurance?
We endorse the recommendation of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade that all travellers take out travel insurance. If you already have travel insurance, please understand that it is your responsibility to ensure that your travel insurance covers you for all of the adventure style travel you have booked with us.
Do you offer payment plans?
Absolutely, we understand that paying off a big trip in one go isn’t always that easy. We offer flexible payment plans to suit all types of travellers with zero interest or fee’s (minimum $100AUD deposit required).
How do I know if my trip is BYO?
Most tour vouchers will specify if your trip is BYO however we recommend asking your tour provider if your trip is BYO when you reconfirm your booking 48 hours prior to departure.
