3 Day 2 Night Island Expeditions Fraser Island Self Drive 4WD Tour From $559pp (Online Only)
Sometimes palm trees and beach side pools just don’t cut it. If eco-friendly beach camping, traditional Aussie BBQ’s, and a couple of drinks at sunset is your kind of vibe, then stick around and find out everything you need to know about Island Expeditions.
Tag-a-long tours allow solo travellers and groups of friends to band together to travel around K’gari with absolute ease. You’ll travel in a vehicle driven convoy led by your guides. Good guides can be hard to come by, but luckily, Island Expeditions aren’t short of a few Aussie bushmen who love nothing more than showing their beautiful backyard to adventure seekers from far and wide. Fraser Island’s 75-mile beach will be your highway to the highlights. Here, your guide will navigate you around planes landing on the beach, shark fishermen casting out on the shoreline, and the ever surprising tides that rise and fall every six hours.
Lake Mckenzie, Maheno Shipwreck, and Champagne Pools are among just a handful of the highlights you’ll see on the trip. Being able to spend 3 full days allows you the perfect amount of time to get around to each place without having to check your stopwatch every 15 minutes.
Though K’gari does offer up some pretty challenging terrain, it’s not like we’re asking you to cross The Sahara. With a bit of guidance, you’ll be just fine. Beach Camping. Off-road 4WD’s. Incredible nature. New friends. That’s pretty special. Nomads Noosa is the perfect base to start and finish your tour. Here you will need to check-in and meet the rest of your group so why not stay a night or two? All included on this tour, the crew at Nomads Noosa will give you the best bang for your buck, whether it be you are looking for a fun night out or a cruisy tour around town. Do you offer payment plans?
Absolutely, we understand that paying off a big trip in one go isn’t always that easy. We offer flexible payment plans to suit all types of travellers with zero interest or fee’s (minimum $100AUD deposit required).
Do I need travel insurance?
We endorse the recommendation of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade that all travelers take out travel insurance. If you already have Travel Insurance please understand that it is your responsibility to ensure that your Travel Insurance covers you for all of the adventure style travel you have booked with us.
Can I book a package but travel in the reverse direction?
Absolutely, just let us know your preferred start and finish location and we’ll make it work.
What is the best way to travel Australia?
There is definitely no wrong way. We recommend either taking a WHIMIT or Hop on Hop off bus pass such as Greyhound or renting a campervan with some mates and hitting the open road. We get it. Life is all about the unexpected, especially when you are travelling. In all cases we strongly recommend having a valid travel insurance policy which covers you for unexpected cancellations.
