Hike and swim your way through the Kimberley’s, stopping at memorable landmarks such as Lake Argyle Island, the Bungle Bungles, Edith Falls and Windjana Gorge. Visit sacred sites like Gregory’s Tree, and historical sites such as Gingers Hill and the Boab Prison Tree. Learn about the importance of these landmarks in the Aboriginal culture and the interesting history of these areas. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled for the abundance of incredible wildlife in these regions, from freshwater crocodiles to rock wallabies, and an array of other reptiles and colourful bird life. View ancient Aboriginal rock art in Keep River and Judbarra National Parks for an insight into the ancient history of this country. Broome to Darwin Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Broome to Gibb River Road

Start your journey making your way along the scenic Gibb River Road.
Visit the famed Derby Prison Tree and Tunnel Creek, a 750 metre long limestone cave system full of incredible Aboriginal history.
Set up camp at Windjana Gorge, where you can enjoy a wonderful sunset to end your first exciting day of adventure.

Day 2: King Leopold Conservation Park to Manning Gorge

Visit the spectacular Bell Gorge tiered waterfall in King Leopold Conservation Park for a refreshing swim.
Explore Adcock Gorge and spot the Magnificent Tree Frog, and for another revitalising swim.
Set up camp tonight at Manning Gorge and get prepared for another adventurous day ahead.

Day 3: Galvans Gorge

Today, hike into Manning Gorge for some excellent wildlife and nature, try and spot the Northern Red Faced Turtle.
View the ancient Gwion Gwion rock art, and stop off at another beautiful swim hole.
In the afternoon, drive to Galvans Gorge to view Wandjina Rock Art and more swimming spots.
Head back to your campsite at Manning Gorge.

Day 4: El Questro Station

Today you’ll be crossing the Kimberley’s Pentecost River.
Explore all of the wonderful swim spots and awesome wildlife around El Questro.
Treat yourself to a restaurant meal tonight at your own expense, and enjoy an evening at the Swinging Arm Bar, before setting up camp at El Questro Station.

Day 5: Zebedee Springs

Up and out early this morning with your first stop at Zebedee Springs.
Relax at the crystal clear hot springs and admire the wonderful scenery.
Take part in an epic hike up El Questro Gorge, for impressive views and be rewarded with another perfect swim spot.
Another night camping at El Questro.

Day 6: Purnululu National Park

This morning hike to Emma Gorge, through the stunning Cockburn Ranges.
The swim holes here are surrounded by incredible rock faces.
Make your way to Purnululu National Park, also known as the Bungle Bungles, to set up camp for two nights.

Day 7: Cathedral Gorge

Start your morning with a spectacular sunrise over the Bungle Bungle domes.
Hike to beautiful spots like Cathedral Gorge, Piccaninny Creek, and the Window.
You’ll have the option to join an 18 minute scenic helicopter flight over the impressive National Park.
Visit Echidna Chasm, and admire the 200 metre cliffs surrounding you as you stand in the centre.
Another night camping at Purnululu National Park.

Day 8: Lake Argyle Island

Today is a special day as you make your way to Lake Argyle, to explore and camp at Lake Argyle Island.
Cruise through Australia’s largest man made lake, search for epic wildlife here like the freshwater crocodile and the short eared rock wallaby.
Camp on the island in complete solitude, enjoy a beautiful sunset and campfire.

Day 9: Jubarra National Park

This morning, wake up to the sound of wildlife and water.
Enjoy an unmissable sunrise before heading back to the mainland for breakfast.
Then you’ll be crossing the border, leaving Western Australia behind and into the Northern Territory.
Enjoy a trip into Keep River National Park and Gingers Hill to learn about the local Aboriginal History.
Walk along Goorrandalng and marvel at the enormous sandstones and beautiful palms.
Journey through Jubarra National Park where you’ll visit Gregory’s Tree.
This beautiful tree is a sacred site to the Ngarinyman people.
Your final night of camping will be enjoyed in the Victoria River Region.

Day 10: Edith Falls to Darwin

On your final day of this epic journey, visit the iconic Edith Falls for a quick dip.
Explore the Magnetic Termite Mounds, 2 metre high structures as far as the eye can see.
Finally, enjoy a peaceful journey back to Darwin.

Cancellation & Refund Policy: Refunds will be processed according to the following time frames.
Cancellations within 14 Days of the start date incur a 100.00% fee.
Between 14 Days and 28 Days incur a 50.00% fee.
Between 28 Days and 365 Days incur a 25.00% fee.

Do I need to reconfirm my bookings?

All Broome to Darwin bookings must be reconfirmed 48 hours in advance by contacting your tour provider directly using the contact information listed on your tour voucher.

What should i do if my trip is cancelled due to bad weather?

You may either re-schedule directly with the supplier or you can email our support team on [email protected] and include your voucher number, name of product you booked, planned departure date and your contact details. Once you’ve emailed us, you can drop us a line at +61 2 5633 1149.

Do you book tours with flexible dates? If so, how long are they valid for?

Yes, we do have open dated/flexible tickets available. Most tour vouchers are valid for 12 months from date of purchase, however please be aware that you may be subject to supplier price fluctuations. All ticket validity is specified on the tour voucher. If you are unsure of the validity of your voucher, just ask one of our wonderful staff.

What do I do if I need help with an existing booking?

Some tours have extra costs and you should be aware that there may be added expenses. These expenses will differ for each service provider, but some of the more usual extras are: EMC tax, stinger suit hire, luggage storage, sleeping bag hire, linen hire, national park fee, food, insurance, accommodation, equipment hire, petrol levy, etc. We will alert you to extra costs to the extent reasonably practicable. However, you must also check with each individual service provider when you re-confirm your booking.

Do I need travel insurance?

We endorse the recommendation of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade that all travellers take out travel insurance. If you already have travel insurance, please understand that it is your responsibility to ensure that your travel insurance covers you for all of the adventure style travel you have booked with us.

Do you offer payment plans?

Absolutely, we understand that paying off a big trip in one go isn’t always that easy. We offer flexible payment plans to suit all types of travellers with zero interest or fee’s (minimum $100AUD deposit required).

How do I know if my trip is BYO?

Most tour vouchers will specify if your trip is BYO however we recommend asking your tour provider if your trip is BYO when you reconfirm your booking 48 hours prior to departure.
