Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best place to fly into?

When travelling to Vietnam, it’s best to fly into either Hanoi airport or Ho Chi Minh airport. Because Vietnam is a long, skinny country, it works well to arrive either in the North or in the South, and then travel along the coast. This way, you’ll get to make the most of your time without having to go back on yourself, and makes it easier if you are travelling by bus or bike!

Is Vietnam cheap to travel?

Absolutely! Vietnam is known as one of the more budget friendly countries in South East Asia to travel. Here you’ll be able to find cheap, delicious food, awesome budget friendly hostels, and plenty of free or affordable activities.

What is the best way to meet people in Vietnam?

If you’re travelling solo, the best ways to meet new people are hostels and group tours! Most hostels you stay in will have a very social vibe, or even a bar or two attached. However, we find that joining a group tour allows you to make deeper connections with your travel mates, and you’ll be leaving with friends for life.

How many days should I spend in Vietnam?

We recommend spending at least a week in Vietnam to make the most of your time in the country. With so many beautiful places to visit, it can be hard to know what to add to your bucket list. Check out our Vietnam tours for some inspiration on how long to spend here, and how long for.
