This day trip on the Great Barrier Reef with Passions of Paradise is all about the marine life experience. Onboard, you’ll find a captain, snorkel instructors, dive guides, and a marine naturalist. So, from start to finish, you can expect to be well taken care of. You might even learn a thing or two. In the water, you’ll have access to high quality snorkel equipment and if you’ve never snorkelled before, or aren’t so comfortable in the water, you’ll be well looked after by the crew. If you’d like, they can include floatation devices and expert snorkel tuition free of charge. Just remember to keep your eyes peeled for the cast and crew of Finding Nemo.
Onboard, you’ll get morning tea, a tropical buffet lunch PLUS wine, cheese, and crackers on the way home. It tops off the day nicely, and for a few seconds, you’ll forget you’re even on the water. If you’re chasing more of an adventure and to really get amongst the marine life, you may wish to pre-book an introductory or certified dive otherwise, subject to availability, you’ll have the option to upgrade your trip onboard.
If you already know you want to do some diving, no worries. There’s an option for you too, no matter what your skill level. Take in all the natural beauty of the reef at their two unique locations, chosen out of 27 great sites, to suit the conditions, and learn heaps about the underwater world from their onboard marine naturalist. After kicking it on a catamaran with the Passions of Paradise crew, you’ll return back to Cairns at the end of the day.

Check in at ‘Reef Fleet Terminal’ for 7am check in.

Travel onboard the stylish stable catamaran to the Outer Reef.
Enjoy light morning tea (coffee, tea, biscuits, cake).
Reef interpretation presentation + snorkel/scuba dive briefing
Arrive at first reef location for a snorkel, dive, and sunbathe
Tropical buffet lunch of hot & cold options
Arrive at second reef location for a snorkel, dive, and sunbathe
Enjoy afternoon tea (complimentary wine, cheese and crackers) on return to shore.
Return late afternoon (around 4/4.30PM)

INDIVIDUAL CANCELLATION POLICY
We have a very generous cancellation policy which allows you to cancel or change (subject to seating availability) up to 24 hours before travel. After this time, there is a 100% cancellation fee.
CANCELLATION POLICY FOR GROUPS OVER 10 PASSENGERS
If cancellation occurs more than 14 days prior to arrival, a full refund applies.
If cancellation occurs 7- 13 days prior, a 50% refund applies.
If cancellation occurs 7 days or less, refund will be at Management’s discretion.
Passions of Paradise reserves the right to cancel the day tour due to poor weather conditions, mechanical problems or use another vessel, or travel to different reef sites.
We offer a two destination itinerary.We will visit two outer reef locations chosen from our brand new selection of 24 spectacular destinations. At times; the weather may make one of these destinations unsafe or impractical to visit. On those days, we may only visit one location. In poor weather, it is up to the Skippers discretion as he travels to the reef to decide which locations will be visited. He will choose keeping in mind your safety, the safety of the boat and your comfort. There are no refunds when the itinerary is changed.
We will endeavour to sail as much as we can each day, however, the wind speed and wind direction determine for how long this occurs. The skipper will keep everyone informed on our sailing plans for the day.
Should the trip be cancelled due to poor weather or mechanical breakdown, we will refund 100% of the amount we charged.

All divers must complete a Queensland Medical Questionnaire. Click here to download it. Please be aware that certain medical conditions (eg asthma, heart disease, diabetes) and/or prescription medication may preclude some people from diving. For advice please contact our office directly. Final decisions rest with our qualified dive instructors who consider your safety – our highest priority.
All bookings must be reconfirmed 48 hours in advance by contacting your tour provider directly using the contact information listed on your tour voucher.

Yes, we do have open dated/flexible tickets available. Most tour vouchers are valid for 12 months from date of purchase, however please be aware that you may be subject to supplier price fluctuations. All ticket validity is specified on the tour voucher. If you are unsure of the validity of your voucher, just ask one of our wonderful staff.
