On arrival in Split, you’ll jump in your included airport transfer to take you to the hostel near the Old Town. After you’ve checked in you’ll have plenty of time to relax and refresh before meeting the rest of the group. Tonight, head out for dinner and drinks and get your first taste of the laid-back Croatian lifestyle.

This morning we’ll check out the sights of Split on a walking tour before jumping on your premium boat, aka home for the next week. With ensuite cabins, air-con, huge sundecks and your own private bar… boat life is calling! As sailing begins you’ll have a three-course lunch on board, before jumping into the water at the first swim stop. Later this afternoon, dock in Makarska, a beautiful resort town framed by mountains and beaches.

This morning you’ll be sailing to Mljet, a secluded island sanctuary in the heart of the Adriatic. After a hot buffet breakfast, your captain will anchor in a hidden bay, and you’ll start getting used to the Croatian routine of swim, eat, explore, repeat. After another three-course feast of locally sourced food (think meat, seafood and fresh veg), your boat will dock so we can explore the National Park by bike.

As you sleep the boat will cruise south to the famous fortress city of Dubrovnik. Poised gracefully on Croatia’s coast, Dubrovnik is so much more than Game of Thrones hotspots! Start your day kayaking out at sea, checking out the views from the water, and immersing yourself in the magnificent Old Town before heading off on a guided walking tour. Once the sun sets, dine out at a local restaurant, then it’s time to see what Dubrovnik’s world-class clubs have to offer. Anyone up for a party in a castle?

Drifting off from Dubrovnik, sail past olive trees and vineyards as you travel into a bluer-than-blue spot to anchor. Spend the entire day horizontal or practising your belly flops, it’s completely up to you! Later on, dock in the quiet fishing village of Trstenik to explore the unspoilt streets, taking in the most authentic side of Croatia. Tonight you can dress a little fancy for the captain’s dinner and enjoy a few drinks and games onboard.

After another morning of sailing in paradise, today you’ll dock in Korcula, one of Croatia’s most picturesque towns. Covered in marble and built around a magnificent 15th Century Cathedral, Korcula is Dubrovnik, but smaller and without the crowds! After exploring the sights, the summer afternoon is yours to wander the Venetian Old Town. Foodies can hit up the restaurants on the edge of town, and enjoy a sunset cocktail at one of the many bars.

You know the routine by now – swim, sunbathe and snorkel to your heart’s content, then this afternoon you’ll be sailing to the ritzy hub of Hvar. Known as a playground of some familiar famous faces, this is where super-yachts meet Renaissance history. Climbing above terracotta rooftops, walk up to the Spanish Fortress for incredible views in every direction. Sun setting, music in the air, by now you’ll be fully acquainted with the Croatian lifestyle. There’s plenty of bars and clubs open until early morning, so if you’re up to a big night, Hvar is the one.

It’s the last day of sailing, but there’s plenty more exploring on dry land to come! Sailing back to the mainland, we’ll have free time in the afternoon to explore Split.

Most nationalities (including the UK, Europe, USA, Canada and Australia) do not need a visa to enter Croatia for tourism purposes, but it’s always best to check with your government for official travel advice. You will need at least 6 months remaining validity and 2 blank pages in your passport. It’s also recommended to have onward travel booked out of Croatia before travelling there, as you may get asked for proof of this before boarding your flight to Croatia. A group tour that includes a balance of sailing and mainland stays is the best way to see Croatia! Having all of your accommodation, transport, activities and some meals already organised for you means you can fully enjoy the destination without any added stress.
This tour features 2 nights in Split, and 7 nights on a premium boat. Our Split hostel is modern, clean and spacious, with mixed gender dorm rooms fitting up to 20 people. Each bed has it’s own curtain for privacy. Our premium boats have air con, ensuite bathrooms and are twin/double share rooms, however you will find them a bit smaller than a typical hotel room. Good news is our boat has plenty of space for relaxing, including multiple sundecks!
Travel days in Croatia are easy – the boat does all the work for us! Every morning we sail from the early hours until midday, and this time is perfect for lounging in the sun, playing games, and getting to know the group. We usually dock in our destinations after lunch onboard around 3pm each day.
Kayaking and cycling are included activities which require average fitness, and we spend a lot of time swimming and walking around cities. It is highly recommended you can swim to fully enjoy this tour. We spend a lot of time onboard, and while the Adriatic Sea is very calm, if you regularly suffer from sea sickness this may not be the tour for you.
Yes, there is a €60 pp port fee that you will be required to pay in cash to the Captain during your trip.
It’s best to arrive on the actual start date. This is when most people arrive. There are no activities on the first day but the group gets together in the evening for a welcome dinner at around 7pm. Sometimes people like to arrive a day or two before the trip starts so they can do their own exploring or just have a bit of time to chill before all the fun begins
Flights to and from Croatia are not included in the price of the tour and will need to be booked separately. However if your tour has an internal flight as part of the itinerary, then this is included!
Our Croatia groups usually have around 15 – 25 people on them, usually aged between 18 to early 40’s. We get people from all over the world on our tours, so you’ll get to bond with a wide range of travellers who all share that same passion for adventure! As long as you have an appetite for adventure and are happy bonding with people of all backgrounds, you’ll fit in perfectly.
