Do you need a visa to visit Mexico?
Most nationalities (including the UK, USA, Canada and Australia) do not need a visa to enter Mexico for tourism purposes, however you can be given anywhere between 10-180 days on arrival. Make sure to ask for the correct number of days from the agent and double check the stamp in your passport for the departure date to make sure it aligns with your travel plans. You will need at least 6 months remaining validity and 2 blank pages in your passport. It’s also recommended to have onward travel booked out of Mexico before travelling there, as you may get asked for proof of this before boarding your flight to Mexico. For more information and visa updates please check the official Mexico Government website.

Is it worth going to Mexico for a week?
While a week can be enough time to experience the top sites and culture of Mexico we usually recommend you stay a little longer, so you can properly enjoy all of the incredible things this country has to offer without missing anything. By joining one of our group tours we’ll fit as much into the time you have available as possible, with all the best bucket list inclusions sorted for you!

Is Mexico safe to travel?
While there are certain areas within Mexico known for crime, these are limited and nowhere near where INTRO goes.
Mexico is a very popular tourist destination and safe to travel to, with only the need for the usual commonsense precautions we recommend for all our destinations.
At INTRO we have not only chosen the most beautiful and fascinating areas of Mexico but also places we know to be safe. Another benefit of travelling Mexico as part of a guided group tour.
Is this trip for me?
This trip covers a large part of Mexico, which means some early starts and long travel days, on occasionally winding and bumpy roads. There can be potential delays due to traffic and road construction. We make these days as enjoyable as possible by having private transportation throughout, and including some interesting rest stops. We recommend a neck pillow to catch up on some sleep on these days.
You will stay at a mix of accommodations on this trip. From traditional Mexican style 4-star hotels, to quaint family-owned guesthouses, and a beautiful waterfront resort!
Mexico has some absolutely delicious cuisine! In most places there are vegetarian/vegan options but they may be limited in more rural locations due to the common use of meat and cheese in traditional cooking. However, your group leader and local guide will provide
When should I arrive for my tour?
It’s best to arrive on the actual start date. This is when most people arrive. There are no activities on the first day but the group gets together in the evening for a welcome dinner at around 7pm. Sometimes people like to arrive a day or two before the trip starts so they can do their own exploring or just have a bit of time to chill before all the fun begins.
Are flights included in the price?
Flights to and from Mexico are not included in the price of the tour and will need to be booked separately. However if your tour has an internal flight as part of the itinerary, then this is included!

We get people from all over the world on our tours, so you’ll get to bond with a wide range of travellers who all share that same passion for adventure! As long as you have an appetite for adventure and are happy bonding with people of all backgrounds, you’ll fit in perfectly!
How can I get in touch with my group leader?
You will receive a ‘welcome email’ from your group leader approx. 2 weeks before your tour begins.
What if I'm travelling solo?
If you’re struggling to convince your friends to join you on an adventure, you’re not alone!
Travelling solo on a group tour can be one of the most exciting ways to experience a new destination, and you won’t have to wait around for your mates to be ready. You leave yourself open to meeting amazing people, making new friends, and can keep yourself and your onward travel plans flexible.
The majority of our group members are solo travellers, so joining one of our group tours is a great way to meet people and make friends. Before your trip starts we’ll put you in touch with the rest of your group so you can start chatting and get to know each other. And after the trip a lot of people continue travelling with the new friends they’ve made!
What happens after my trip?
A big part of the INTRO Travel difference is our after-trip support. Your group leader will spend enough time as needed to ensure you are totally comfortable and confident with where you’re going next. And can help organise and book whatever you need, including any transport, accommodation or trips you may want. We’ll also provide 24/7 support and advice after your trip, and will always be there to help when you need it.
Do I need travel insurance?
Travel insurance is compulsory for all our trips. You’ll need to show proof of your policy to your group leader upon arrival (on your phone or printed).
World Nomads travel insurance policies offer coverage for more than 150 activities. Get a quote, make a claim, or buy or extend your policy while on the road.
We endorse the recommendation of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade that all travellers take out travel insurance. If you already have Travel Insurance please understand that it is your responsibility to ensure that your Travel Insurance covers you for all of the adventure style travel you have booked with us.
