Your accommodation at Arts Factory Lodge is located a short walk from the Greyhound & Premier Bus Stops or your nearest Airport to fly into is Ballina Airport (BNK). Airport pick up is not included in this package but can be booked through Steve’s Airport Transfers who will drop you off at your accom for under $25! 

Your shuttle bus will drop you off at reception where you will be able to check in (after 1PM) on the first day of your adventure. If you need help booking your flight, then just let us know and we’ll see if we can help you find a great deal.

Evenings in Byron couldn’t be better, whether you head out for some of the incredible eats or just chill at the main beach with a cold drink and watch the surf at sunset – pure bliss guaranteed!  

You will need to be up bright and early today. Don’t forget to eat brekkie before you head out on the water. Feel free to take your GoPro with you to snap some epic pics and make sure you take sunscreen, swimmers, and your towel. 

You’ll get picked up from your hostel by the legends at Mojo Surf who will take you to the best beach that day to suit beginners. 

This ocean-posse of local legends have years of experience and a great understanding of the waves. They will keep you safe and sound from start to finish and even guarantee to get you stood up in your first lesson. 

All the gear is included so don’t worry about any extra fees or costs. Once you’ve finished this tour you will be taken back to your accommodation or at the local bus stop to carry on with the rest of your epic journey. 

These trips normally depart in the morning giving you half a day free to explore. We’d recommend either checking out the famous Byron Bay Lighthouse and Wategos Beach. This cool coastal walk will be easily achievable in under two hours at a chilled pace. There are loads of photo opportunities and if you look closely, you can spot turtles, dolphins, and whales swimming below (seasonal).
