Avatar Whitsundays 2 Day 2 Night Adventure
From $549pp (Online Sale)

This 2 day, 2 night ‘trimaran’ is recommended for a social adventurous traveller looking for speed, stability, and tons of deck space to sunbathe and relax.

It’s a recommended 18-35’s trip, so expect to have the odd drink or two. It’s known to get lively, so if you’re planning a romantic couples getaway, this might not be for you. Avatar is one of the most popular boats on The Whitsundays. It’s known for being the only Trimaran on The Whitsundays (this means it has 3 hulls in parallel). As far as how it looks, it’s definitely one of the stylish boats out there and it is considered as the perfect all-rounder, a great mix of adventure, socialising and relaxation.

Snorkelling is a huge highlight. You’ll hit heaps of world-class snorkel locations for you to explore the underwater world. Whitehaven Beach and Hill Inlet are on the itinerary, so don’t forget your camera. We guarantee this’ll be your next Insta post. Evenings are all about the sunsets and socialising. So anchor up, listen to some tunes, and share a laugh or three with your new mates.

Don’t worry about bringing food, snorkel gear, or a compass with you. The crew on Avatar have got you covered. This trip is all inclusive, so just bring what makes you most comfortable at sea, as well as your own drinks to keep you satisfied in the evening after the day’s adventures are finished.

Trip Intinerary

Prologue

All passengers must call/email the supplier 24-48 hours before to reconfirm your booking and ‘check in’. Contact details for the supplier will be listed on your travel voucher.

Please be advised Avatar does not have a set itinerary.

The 2 day, 2 night tours of the Whitsunday Islands can include the following locations:

Whitehaven Beach: Whitehaven Beach is a pristine, award winning beach on Whitsunday Island, the largest of the 74 islands in the Whitsundays. It stretches over 7km and boasts brilliant white silica sand that is among the purest in the world. Sink your feet into the sand and kick back in the warm gentle waves that hit the shore and you’ll soon realise why people come here from all over the world.

Hook Island: Hook island offers spectacular surroundings and excellent snorkelling/diving sites. The second largest island in the Cumberland group, it is 58 square kilometres in size and includes sheltered, picturesque bays, deep fjord-like inlets, ideal sailing and kayaking conditions, multiple moorings, fringing reefs, secluded beach campsites, and the opportunity to see abundant wildlife including seagulls, kites, ospreys, turtles, reef fish, dolphins, manta rays, and humpback whales.

Hayman Island: Hayman Island is the most northerly of the Whitsunday Islands, off the coast of Central Queensland, Australia. It’s a private island open to the public, most famous for its luxury resort, making it a significant drawing point for tourism in Queensland.

Border Island: Border Island is a Marine National Park Green Zone and the reef here has been protected for some time and is in very good condition, offering excellent diving and snorkelling, amazing coral viewing, abundant marine life, and a short scenic bush walk. The beach is surrounded by tall cliffs and is really quite nice with crystal clear water. While you are at Cateran Bay, make sure to take a short bush walk up a rough track to the top of the ridge for some great views and photo opportunities of the surrounding islands.

Luncheon Bay: Luncheon Bay is situated on the northern side of Hook Island and features pristine coral and superb marine life. It is popular with beginner divers thanks to its easy beach entry option. Intro divers can enter the water gradually from the beach, allowing plenty of time to become accustomed to the dive gear and the water. Be sure to check out ‘the tunnel of love’, which is an underwater canyon.

Caves Cove: Caves Cove is mostly sheltered in a south-easterly breeze from the swell and you will not get wind bullets here like Stonehaven Bay. It’s an excellent vantage point to watch the sunset falling over the mainland coast of Australia. There is also an excellent echo if you yell something towards the island.

Blue Pearl Bay: This awesome famous snorkelling spot is located on the north-western side of Hayman Island in the Whitsundays Group. Popular with tourists and locals for snorkelling, diving, and sightseeing, Blue Pearl Bay is known for its coral and fish life including resident Maori Wrasse. Day tours and overnight boats visit Blue Pearl Bay for snorkelling and or scuba diving. Visitors typically swim directly off their vessel, or pop over to the southern beach and enter the water from Coral Beach.
