What fitness level is required for this tour?

This tour has a fitness rating of 2/5. Comfortable walking ability is all that’s needed. That said, Day 2 includes a 10 km base walk around Uluru and Day 3 features the Kings Canyon Rim Walk (approx. 8 km), so a reasonable level of general fitness will help you get the most out of both. Comfortable, closed-in walking shoes are essential.

How big is the group?

Groups run with a minimum of 8 and a maximum of 24 passengers, travelling together in a purpose-built all-terrain 4WD vehicle. It’s a sociable, small-group format, perfect for solo travellers, couples, and groups alike.

What ages are welcome on this tour?

This tour is open to guests aged 8 to 80 years. It is not suitable for children aged 7 and under. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

What are the expected return times?

The tour concludes at approximately 9:00am on Day 4 at Yulara (Desert Gardens Hotel or Ayers Rock Airport). You’ll sleep at exclusive remote outback campsites with shared shower and toilet facilities nearby. It’s rugged, comfortable, and an iconic way to experience the Outback.

Can dietary requirements be catered for?

Yes. Please advise any dietary requirements, including allergies and intolerances, at the time of booking. You’ll also be asked to reconfirm these before departure.

Proof of insurance must be presented on Day 1 of the tour; if you are unable to provide this, you may not be permitted to join. Travel insurance is strongly recommended for all guests regardless of nationality, to cover unexpected cancellations, medical costs, and itinerary changes.

What if I have a medical condition?

Please advise any relevant medical conditions at the time of booking. This tour involves remote outback travel, where access to medical assistance may be limited. If you are unsure whether the tour is suitable for your condition, please contact Adventure Tours Australia directly before booking.
