Airport pick up is not included in this package but can be booked through Steve’s Airport Transfers who will drop you off at your accom for under $25 each way. Reach out to us and we can book this for you too.

Your shuttle bus will drop you off at reception where you will be able to check in (after 1PM) on the first day of your adventure.

Did you know that the humpback whales are traveling through Byron Bay on the ‘Humpback Highway’? Yup! That’s right. Over 35,000 humpback whales make their yearly migration to warmer waters to mate.

This also brings an abundance of wildlife attracted to the magnificent migrating mammals to create one epic viewing experience for you on this once in a lifetime experience.

Your day will start off at The Byron Bay Dive Centre (nice and early). This spot is just a 15 minute walk from your accommodation so plenty of time to grab a coffee and light breakfast beforehand.

The crew at Byron Dive Centre know everything there is to know about the ocean and its marvelous marine life so they will not only keep you entertained throughout your trip, but they will be sure to keep you safe at all times too.

The experience will take you on a short ride over the reef surrounding Byron Bay and onto the famed ‘Humpback Highway’ where we have record numbers of migrating whales heading north as part of their yearly ritual. The high speed vessel of The BBDC combined with the local crews experience will give you the best opportunity to spot these beautiful creatures and you will be up close and personal with them before long.

This 4 hours trip will give you maximum viewing time and plenty of epic photo opportunities (don’t forget to snap a selfie with a breaching whale. Your next profile picture, guaranteed)

Once you’ve finished this tour you will be taken back to your accommodation where you may want to get involved with some of the hostel activities.

These include everything from yoga, drum circles, didgeridoo carving, and poi lessons. If you don’t fancy finding your ‘Inner Hippie’ then why not head into Byron Town for an acai bowl at our favourite spot, Combi Byron Bay, or better yet, take a trip to Main Street Burger Bar for the best burger in town.

Evenings in Byron couldn’t be better, whether you head out for some of the incredible eats or just hang out at the Main Beach with a cold drink and watch the surf at sunset.

Once again, join the legends at Byron Bay Dive Centre for your Sea Turtle Snorkel excursion bright and early.

The crew will take you down to The Pass, where you will jump aboard one of their awesome ocean vessels. You, your group, and the friendly guides will head out to Julian Rocks (Voted one of Australia top dive & snorkel sites).

Here, you can jump in the water and come face to face with some epic ocean life such as turtles, rays, and friendly sharks! You will spend up to two hours on the water with a minimum of an hour snorkel time.

These trips normally depart in the morning or afternoon giving you half a day free to explore. We’d recommend either checking out the famous Byron Bay Lighthouse and Wategos Beach. This cool coastal walk will be easily achievable in under two hours at a relaxed pace. There are loads of photo opportunities and if you look closely, you can spot turtles, dolphins, and whales swimming below (seasonal).

For dinner, why not check out The Mez Club for a fancy Mediterranean cocktail vibe, or if you fancy something a bit cheaper, then head to the Byron Bay Night Markets (Fortnightly Saturdays), or the infamous ‘Eat Street’ on Bay Lane.
