As arguably one of the most popular drop zones in Australia, Skydivers eagerly seek Airlie as a ‘tick in the box’ location. Furthermore, the Whitsundays’ 74 tropical Islands and the Conway National Park are on the menu as far as views are concerned, and like a wine, you can pair this jump with adrenaline, fear, or excitement.
Jumping out of a plane is pretty special no matter where you do it. When you see the reefs, rainforest, and tropical islands all in one, it’s an absolute dream come true. Book an Airlie Beach Skydive with a 15,000ft jump to get some incredible views.
Firstly, meet your instructor and put on your safety harness.
Secondly, board the plane for a 15 minute (approx) scenic flight over The Whitsundays to an altitude of up to 15,000ft.
Then your guide will strap you in and jump with you.
Start your Airlie Beach Skydive with a 60-second free-fall, while reaching speeds of up to 220kmph.
Then your parachute deploys followed by a 5 – 7 minute scenic glide as you slowly descend to land.
Smile, high-five your instructor, and collect your photos and videos (optional extra).
All in all it is roughly 2 to 3 hour turnaround time.
Weight Surcharges apply for an Airlie Beach Skydive:
95-99kg $25
100-109kg $50
110kg-115kg $100 (assessment required by safety officer on the day)
You will pay any weight surcharges on the day of your skydive.
You cannot skydive after doing the following:
Deep Sea Diving (24hrs after)
Certificate Diving (24hrs after)
Introductory Diving (12hrs after)
There are daily departures except for 25th December and 1st of January.
You need to make your own way to the drop zone.
Allow for 4 hours after check in time.
Refunds: We will issue a refund only if you provide 48 hours’ notice before your scheduled booking. If you cannot proceed with your skydive due to weather, you can choose an alternative date within 3 years of the original booking date, or you can receive a refund.
No-shows: If you do not check in on the day of your booking and do not contact us in advance, you will forfeit all payments. If extenuating factors exist, we may allow you to choose a new date, but you will need to pay a $50 per person no-show fee.
Cancellations: Cancellations made within 24 hours of the jump date will result in forfeit of your skydive payment. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the jump date will incur a $100 per person cancellation fee.
Customer’s Change of Mind: If you do not proceed with your skydive, you will forfeit all payments, and we will not issue any refunds.
Weight Surcharges: Weight is an important consideration as it affects aircraft weight and balance, fuel allowances, climb rates and also equipment maintenance. There will be a weigh in at check in for every customer. You must inform at the time of booking if you weigh 95kg or more. Moreover, please note the maximum weight for tandem skydiving is 115kg. We reserve the right to refuse service based on weight if we consider it a safety issue. The following weight surcharges apply:
Medical Conditions: Please consult your doctor about any medical conditions that could affect you safely completing a skydive. Please advise us prior to your jump of any medical conditions or other considerations that could affect your safety.
Alcohol and Drugs: Do not take alcohol, ‘recreational’ drugs, or medication that may affect your judgment within 8 hours before you check in.
Restrictions for Scuba Diving: Due to medical restrictions, you must not scuba dive within 24 hours of your scheduled skydive check in time.
Personal Accident Insurance (PAI): This is optional cover that can be purchased when completing your APF membership application. If you select this cover, you will be required to pay the applicable premium or renew your existing cover at the applicable rate.
Purchasing Photos and Videos: Whilst it is not mandatory to book a video or photographs, it is advisable. If there is a technical issue and therefore all footage is unavailable, you will be offered a second skydive on the same day with videographer at no extra charge, or a full refund of your video/photo product. However please be advised that should there be any technical issues relating to camera/dubbing equipment, no refunds can be made for the individual skydive as the filming and skydive are two separate products.
Copyright Photos and Videos: Videos and photographs purchased through Airlie Beach Skydivers remain the copyright of Airlie Beach Skydivers. As a result, we own and retain the right to the footage and photographs. Such footage may be used by Airlie Beach Skydivers for marketing purposes and reproduction of videos sold and may only be used or reproduced by the purchaser or recipient for private or domestic purposes and must not be used for any commercial purpose, for example a promotion of any supplier or any supplier’s products or services without Airlie Beach Skydivers’ prior permission. Should you not want any of your footage or photographs uploaded to Airlie Beach Skydivers’ social media platforms, or used in company marketing, please advise our staff prior to your jump.
Cancellations or Changes by Airlie Beach Skydivers due to Weather: If a skydive is cancelled due to weather, we will endeavour to rebook the jump on a suitable alternative date before leaving the drop zone. If this is not possible, all payments remain valid for a period of 3 years from the original jump date. After this date, the credit will be forfeited, and no refunds will be given. Credit can be transferred to any 1300 Skydive location.

All bookings must be reconfirmed 48 hours in advance by contacting your tour provider directly using the contact information listed on your tour voucher.
You may either re-schedule directly with the supplier or you can email our support team on [email protected] and include your voucher number, name of product you booked, planned departure date and your contact details. Once you’ve emailed us, you can drop us a line at +61 2 5633 1149.
Yes, we do have open dated/flexible tickets available. Most tour vouchers are valid for 12 months from date of purchase, however please be aware that you may be subject to supplier price fluctuations. All ticket validity is specified on the tour voucher. If you are unsure of the validity of your voucher, just ask one of our wonderful staff.
