Settle in on Big Fury and feel the thrill as you zip across the turquoise waters towards your first destination. Arrive at Whitehaven Beach, where you’ll enjoy ample time to relax, swim, and explore the pristine shoreline before indulging in a delicious buffet picnic lunch served right on the beach. Afterward, head to the Hill Inlet Lookout for breathtaking panoramic views of the swirling sands and crystal-clear waters. Then, gear up for an exhilarating snorkelling experience at a superb island reef site, where you’ll encounter a vibrant underwater world teeming with tropical fish and colourful corals. Journey back to Airlie Beach with the wind in your hair and arrive back in time for dinner.

Big Fury is suitable for ages 3 years and upwards. However, being an open-air speed boat and given that the weather and sea conditions around the Whitsunday Islands vary, Fury is more suited for the adventure traveller as we are not a ferry.

You can purchase chilled bottled water, soft drinks and chocolates onboard. BYO ‘a few’ beers are permitted but please note no glass bottles and drinking alcohol during the day will prohibit you from participating in any snorkelling activity.

Due to space constraints, you cannot bring big bags, suitcases or child strollers onboard the vessel. A small backpack with beach wear is all you will need. Most hostels have secure luggage storage available for customers, either for free or for a very affordable fee, so be sure to ask as you check in to your accommodation.

Big Fury spends about 1 hour at the Hill Inlet lookout and then takes guests by boat to the southern 7km long stretch of Whitehaven Beach for 2-2.5 hours including a picnic lunch on the beach.

Prescription masks can be hired from the Aqua Dive Shop, located at the Northern Village of Coral Sea Marina close to the meeting point. Rental fee is approx. $15.00 per day.

Full length lycra stinger suits are provided free of charge but if you would prefer to hire a 3mm wetsuit from the Aqua Dive Shop during the winter months, the cost of renting these wet suits is approx. $12.00 per day.
