Set off on a day trip to North Stradbroke Island, a stunning natural paradise and the world’s second-largest sand island!
Guided by a local expert, you’ll explore all the iconic sites and hidden gems that make “Straddie” a must-see for nature lovers and adventure seekers alike. From sprawling beaches to crystal-clear waters, every stop is picture-perfect, letting you soak in the island’s raw beauty and diverse ecosystems.
Designed for wildlife enthusiasts, this adventure lets you witness Australia’s beloved animals up close. See kangaroos grazing freely, watch dolphins play in the waves, and keep an eye out for koalas in eucalyptus trees. During whale season, you’ll have the incredible chance to witness these magnificent creatures as they journey past the island, while turtles and manta rays add to the amazing marine life. With seamless transport from Brisbane, you can focus entirely on creating memories as you journey through one of Australia’s most remarkable coastal wonders.
You’ll be picked up from your accommodation and taken to the ferry terminal.
From here, enjoy a 30 minute ferry crossing with wonderful views of the ocean and the chance to spot dolphins.
Once on the island, your first stop is the Point Lookout Gorge Walk. Stroll along for amazing ocean views and the rugged cliffs of the gorge.
After the walk, stop at a picturesque spot which is perfect to grab some lunch and refuel.
Then enjoy some free time on the gorgeous beach. Swim, play a beach game, or soak up some sun, with 1.5 hours to relax on one of the island’s best beaches.
Next you’ll head to Amity Point, where you’ll visit a secluded beach where you can spot wild koalas in their natural habitat.
Then it’s time to enjoy the wonderful island sunset on the beach with a complimentary drink and some aperitif on the sand.
Finally say goodbye to the island and hop back on the ferry to Brisbane, back into the centre for around 7:30pm.
