To welcome you to paradise, you will head first to the magnificent island of Cebu. On your way there, you will get to experience one of the Philippines’ magnificent waterfalls. Next up, your heart will get pumping as you go canyoneering at Kawasan Falls surrounded by an enchanting rainforest. Arriving in Moalboal, experiencing a Sardine Run is a must. Prepare yourself for a one-of-a-kind snorkeling adventure. Your snorkeling adventures are not over yet though, make sure to keep them ready for when you get to your next destination, Coron. Here you will also hike up Mt Tapyas for some breathtaking views and finish your day watching the sunset from the Maquinit Hot Springs.
From Coron, you will embark on a 3-day island-hopping boat adventure to El Nido. You will venture off-the-beaten track, traveling on a traditional Banca boat, to explore uninhabited islands and encounter local tribes while staying in simple Filipino huts surrounded by sensational views. Once you arrive in El Nido, all that’s left to do is explore the city in a Jeepney, enjoy a traditional Filipino massage, and go to one of the most striking beaches and jungle canopies. This morning you’re off on a snorkelling trip to observe the Sardine Run that Moalboal is famous for. A phenomenon worthy of a David Attenborough documentary, you’ll have the chance to snorkel amongst countless sardines in amazingly clear water – an experience like nothing else! The afternoon is yours to check out more of Moalboal town or relax by the beach or pool under the tropical sun.

Today you’ll stop at Simala Church, a castle-like monastery where you can learn about the Spanish colonization of the Philippines. From Cebu City you’ll take your second internal flight to Busuanga Island, check in to your hotel in Coron and head into town for dinner and drinks!

It’s time to whip out the snorkel goggles and underwater camera as you go snorkelling in the Sulu Sea. Visiting some of Corons most iconic snorkel spots, you’ll be sure to spot some beautiful creatures!

This morning you can choose to wander Coron Town or just chill by the pool. Later that day, hike up Mount Tapyas for beautiful views of the bay. After some exercise you’ll travel to Maquinit Hot Springs to relax your bodies and be rewarded with a golden sunset as you soak in the hot saltwater pools.

Today you set off on a spectacular 3-day island-hopping expedition from Coron to El Nido. Sailing on a traditional Banca boat you’ll go off the beaten track to explore untouched islands, pristine oceans, meet local tribes and sleep on the beach. The Filipino huts and facilities are simple, but with very few tourists, loads of fresh food and marvelous vistas everywhere you turn, the trade off is absolutely worth it.

Continuing your trip to Palawan you’ll pass more white beaches and swim with fish in some of the world’s most colorful snorkelling spots. Tonight, stay on the beach in a traditional camp, dozing off to the sounds of the waves under the stars.

This morning we’ll head off to see the town from above on a walk through the lush jungle canopy. Our last full day will see you hopping in a Jeepney to tour El Nido. We’ll visit a local organic farm and enjoy lunch on the beach with a traditional Filipino dance performed by the local children. Then, we’ll visit Nacpan Beach, one of the most beautiful spots on Palawan. Tonight, wrap things up with a farewell dinner and drinks to toast the incredible adventures you’ve had.

The great thing about the Philippines is it’s usually quite hot and dry whilst we are operating, so it’s great to go at any time between October to June. Please keep in mind that we don’t operate our tours during the main wet season (July, August, September). And in Asia, if it does rain it’s normally just for an hour or two and then it will stop.

Most nationalities including the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, Europeans and most South American countries will generally receive a 30-day visa exemption on arrival for free. Brazilian passport holders can receive a 59-day visa exemption on arrival for free. You will need at least 6 months remaining validity and 2 blank pages in your passport. It’s also recommended to have onward travel booked out of the Philippines before travelling there, as you may get asked for proof of this before boarding your flight to the Philippines. A group tour that includes a balance of city and island stays is the best way to see the Philippines! Having all of your accommodation, transport, activities and some meals already organised for you means you can fully enjoy the destination without any added stresses.
This is a backpacker style trip, aimed at those happy to stay in nice, budget 2-3 star style accommodation. During the 3 day/2 night Boat Expedition from Coron to El Nido the accommodation is basic and rustic style Filipino Huts with mosquito nets. There is limited power supply, no phone signal and you will shower with buckets of water. A truly memorable experience immersing yourself in the local Filipino culture.
Due to the nature of the Philippines being an archipelago country, there are some long travel days which includes a couple of internal public flights, a public ferry, and private minibuses. This also includes travelling on a boat from Coron to El Nido on a 3 night/2 day Boat Expedition, where you will sleep on 2 different remote island camps for the 2 nights. A truly exotic and magical experience!
This tour includes a lot of water activities, such as canyoneering, swimming and snorkelling. This also means quite a bit of time spent on boats, and some activities are slightly physical and weather dependant. We do not run tours during monsoon season; however, due to where the Philippines is geographically located, the weather can be unpredictable at times and can affect some of the activities.
It’s best to arrive on the actual start date. This is when most people arrive. There are no activities on the first day but the group gets together in the evening for a welcome dinner at around 7pm. Sometimes people like to arrive a day or two before the trip starts so they can do their own exploring or just have a bit of time to chill before all the fun begins.
Flights to and from The Philippines are not included in the price of the tour and will need to be booked separately. However if your tour has an internal flight as part of the itinerary, then this is included!
Our groups usually have around 12-16 people on them, usually aged between 18 to early 40’s. We get people from all over the world on our tours, so you’ll get to bond with a wide range of travellers who all share that same passion for adventure! As long as you have an appetite for adventure and are happy bonding with people of all backgrounds, you’ll fit in perfectly!
You will receive a ‘welcome email’ from your group leader approx. 2 weeks before your tour begins.
