Winter Skytrek Paragliding & Hang Gliding
From $349.66

Skytrek has been operating since 2011 and is renowned to be one of the best adventure activities in Queenstown, New Zealand.

Skytrek takes flights year round, offering the most stunning 360 degree view of Queenstown and its surrounding mountain ranges. Skytrek offers a variety of products ranging from Summer Hang gliding and both summer and winter paragliding, letting you enjoy an unforgettable life experience that can be enjoyed all year round.

If you’re wondering how paragliding feels, the only way to describe it is an overwhelming adrenaline rush mixed with unparalleled calmness. Imagine insane views of Queenstown’s mountain peaks but from 5500ft. The real question people ask though is whether they should do Paragliding or Hang Gliding. We say try out both!

The main difference between paragliding and hang gliding is the flight position. With paragliding you are sitting in an upright position, like you would see at the end of a skydive, however you are in a seated position. Hang gliding is different because you are laying in a horizontal position ( very similar to superman). Paragliding offers an experience with a canopy again similar to a skydiving or kite canopy, however a hang gliding experience has a triangle metal frame to keep the glider stable and is in a fixed position changing direction from the momentum of the pilot as opposed to the strings and pulley system of paragliding.

Both paragliding and hang gliding are incredible experiences and there is no about in our minds that the team at Skytrek will give you a fulfilling experience soaring through the air.
