Frequently asked questions

What will the weather be like on this trip?

This trip takes place in the European Summer, between April and September, so it will generally be sunny and warm.

In Spain and Portugal, summers are hot, especially in cities like Madrid and Seville, where temperatures can soar above 30°C (86°F), but mountain and coastal towns offer a cooler break from the cities. Spring and autumn are much more comfortable, with temperatures ranging from 15–25°C (59–77°F), making them ideal for exploring.

What currency should I bring?

For currency, Spain and Portugal use the Euro (€), and credit or debit cards are widely accepted. ATMs are easy to find, but carrying some cash is helpful for smaller purchases. Morocco, on the other hand, uses the Moroccan Dirham (MAD), which is a closed currency, meaning it can’t be obtained outside the country. The best option is to exchange Euros, British Pounds, or US Dollars once you arrive at the airport – your Trip Manager will be able to help you out with this. ATMs are available in major cities, but cash is necessary when shopping in markets or travelling in more remote areas.

What languages are spoken on this trip?

The official language of this trip will be in English when communicating with your Trip Manager and travel group.

In Spain, Spanish is the official language, though English is commonly spoken in major cities and tourist areas. Some regions, like Catalonia and the Basque Country, also have their own languages. In Portugal, Portuguese is the official language, but English is widely understood, especially in Lisbon and Porto.
