The tour starts bright and early with various pick up locations around town so don’t worry about making your own way there. This fully guided day tour from K’Gari Explorer (formerly Fraser Explorer) will see you board the ferry over to the west coast of Fraser Island. Here, if you’re not already entertained by watching the 4WD newbies get stuck in the sand, then take a peek out the window and look out for bottlenose dolphins or migrating humpback whales, depending on the season, of course.
Once on the island, you will be transported overland in a custom built 4WD coach from sand dune to rainforest and everywhere in between. Your guide and group will be cracking jokes and taking snaps throughout the day, making this trip one to remember. Though this is only a 1 Day Fraser Island Tour, it has a brilliant bang for buck ratio. Included in your trip is a local guide, lush lunch, unreal exotic island views, and all of the mandatory fees.
We’d recommend this trip for just about everyone, but If you are looking for a wild party or a down and dirty adventure, then this trip probably isn’t for you. However, this is an epic all-rounder. Embrace Fraser Island’s history, wildlife, and culture. Please note that when booking, scroll down to select your preferred departure location as either Rainbow Beach or Hervey Bay.
