Begin your adventure with a driver safety briefing at 7:30am in Urangan, Hervey Bay. At 9:00am, depart via barge or ferry, arriving at K’gari Fraser Island by 10:00am. Upon arrival at your Beach House, Bringabeeralong House, nestled on K’gari Fraser Island’s Eastern Beach, enjoy a delicious lunch of fresh sandwiches. In the afternoon, choose between a 5km return walk to the emerald Lake Wabby surrounded by sand dunes, or a visit to Lake Birrabeen if the tide is high. Return to the Beach House for relaxation, showers, and a hearty dinner. End the day with a mesmerising night walk to the beach to stargaze, weather permitting. Please note the accommodation curfew is at 10pm.
Day 2: K’gari to Hervey Bay

Then, depart for Lake McKenzie, where you’ll spend time soaking in the beauty of this pristine lake, where you’ll enjoy fresh wraps for lunch. No, 4WDriving isn’t as hard as everybody imagines. Although tracks can get rough, if you take it easy and listen to instructions you will have an unforgettable and enjoyable experience!
Where do we stay on K’gari?
Rather than being a camping tour, this 3 day experience offers wonderful beach side cabin style accommodation at Bringabeeralong House, nestled on K’gari Fraser Island’s Eastern Beach. You will be in a quad share room with toilets and hot showers as well as cooking facilities. Remember, the entire island of K’gari is a National Park, so please respect the 10pm curfew. I don’t have a driving licence, can I still do the tour?
Absolutely you can still do the tour! There is always room for a navigator, a comedian, a DJ and a photographer. If you don’t wanna take on these responsibilities, that’s cool too, just sit back and enjoy the ride.
