Whether you’ve stayed the night on Magnetic Island already, or you’re coming straight from Townsville on the Sealink Ferry, your adventure begins at Nelly Bay Ferry terminal. Meet your guide and head to your first stop, Rocky Bay, for a great view of the stunning island.

Next explore Cockle Bay and Picnic Bay, and learn a bit of the island’s rich history and unique geography as you visit the local museum. Then, head up Arcadia Hill and take in the breathtaking views of Cleveland Bay and the Coral Sea.

It’s time to go wildlife spotting, as you discover Geoffrey Bay’s incredible rock formations. Learn about the reef research and keep your eyes peeled for friendly Rock Wallabies that roam the area.

Then enjoy some leisure time at Horseshoe Bay, where you can grab some lunch at one of the hip cafes. Lounge on the beach or go swimming in the bay, surrounded by swaying palm trees.

After lunch, head to the Butterfly Forest for a short bush walk and spot beautifully coloured butterflies landing on the trees around you.

If you like, you can add on a visit to the Aquasearch Aquarium for an extra $3, to learn more about the local marine life, including Dr. Rick Braley’s work with Giant Clams.

Finally, finish up back in Nelly Bay, to either return to Townsville or wander back to your accommodation after an enriching day out.

Yes, we do have open dated/flexible tickets available. Most tour vouchers are valid for 12 months from date of purchase, however please be aware that you may be subject to supplier price fluctuations. All ticket validity is specified on the tour voucher. If you are unsure of the validity of your voucher, just ask one of our wonderful staff.
